Seattle's Solstice Parade

Seattle's Solstice Parade

****Be forewarned - this blog post contains much nudity and many happy people. *********

Lauren and Elaine waiting for 2 hours for the start.
How can I describe the Solstice Parade? Unique. Colorful. Free spirited. Not for everyone. But the most fun parade I have ever been to. It occurs each year in the Fremont district of Seattle to celebrate the summer solstice. You should go!

Getting ready to provide sustenance to the parade goers.

The crowd included families and some extraordinary accommodations.

The riders began the festivities. They circle the parade route ahead of the actual parade. It seemed like there were hundreds of them and they rode past so many times.
So many naked people.

Some were more naked than others but it was all fun. It was an outward expression of the freedom of summer. There was nothing sexual about it at all.
Everything was so colorful!

Just two ladies out for a naked stroll.

Participants came in all sizes.

My favorite "costumes"!
All ages too.

Stopping for refreshments.

So much fun!

And the parade starts.

And it was so colorful.

It was a family event.

Just beautiful.

I got to feel her leg. Love the outfit!

The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster was represented.

Audience participation.

So pretty.

A little more nudity just for good measure.

Can't have a decent parade without zombies!!

I had to at least be a part of the parade for a minute! So much fun.
